PANCHART – Panopoulos Bros S.A. was founded in 1981 as a small-scale paper processing and food packaging manufacturer. It has since grown into a modern industry with a wide range of products for packaging and goods transportation. The company produces items like shopping bags, polyethylene pouches and laminated paper for fresh food. In recent years, PANCHART has expanded into eco-friendly products, including biodegradable and recycled materials. With a production capacity exceeding 1,500 tons monthly, it operates at 20.000 m² facility in Attica and is active in waste management and environmental consulting.
PANCHART is participating in the Theseus H4C Project, where it is responsible for testing materials derived from the recycling of compostable plastics. These bioplastics, which would otherwise be waste, will be used to create compostable films that will be printed and converted to bags. PANCHART will then conduct necessary quality control checks to assess whether the raw materials provided are suitable for creating commercially viable products. This process is crucial for ensuring the commercial potential of recycled compostable plastics.
