The Decision Support Systems Laboratory (DSSLab) is a multidisciplinary scientific unit that operates within the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS). The DSSLab provides academic training, carries out R&D projects, and provides management and decision support services across a wide range of complex business, socio-technical, energy and climate policy/planning problems. More than 100 highly qualified researchers and experts are members and close collaborators, ready to offer high quality scientific services.
In the context of Theseus H4C, the DSSLab will be leading “Task 10.1 Climate Change in relation to the future of H4C (M7-M60)”. Through T10.1, the DSSLab will be building on the insights gained into Attica (T8.6) and additional Theseus H4C sites (T9.3) and will attempt to upscale similar solutions and advancements in the EU, using GCAM-Europe and CLEWs-EU—i.e., the European variants of two widely established, open-source, global integrated assessment modelling frameworks.
Moreover, the DSSLab will implement the Theseus H4C platform Security Enabler that will drive identity access management strategy. This tool will empower Service Owners to define role-based access policies, determining user access rights to specific datasets and functionalities based on roles.
